Psychologist Sees a Living Pterosaur
Brian Hennessy, employed by the Chongqing University of Medical Sciences in China, brought a new perspective to living-pterosaur investigations when he told me about his encounter with a “prehistoric” flying creature. He is a psychologist. This practically eliminates the possibility that he mistakenly reported to me a hallucination. He was on a truck that was descending from a ridge on Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea, in 1971, when he heard the wing beats. He looked up and saw a large creature with no sign of feathers flying overhead. It had a long tail and a head crest.
